For my Jilly, I would put a bunch in a plastic food storage bag & use a rubber mallet to crack it into bits. Later I used a blender and food processor but you always had some that was just powder. I was always afraid she would aspirate that somehow so I just tossed it. |

No. Jilly didn't care what it looked like. She was just grateful to be able to have a size kibble she could get her tiny muzzle open around & tiny teeth to chew. She was 3 lbs. full grown & until she died an old lady & had to have tiny kibble. I would do several storage bagsful at once & store them so I only had to crush kibble about once a month as she ate so little each meal. (spellcheck totally changed my last 2 line font size - can't get it back to normal!) |

1 Attachment(s) Ok, believe me after close to 3 years of cutting Zhoie's kibble before her surgery....I've got the perfect tool. DH got this a Walmart in the craft section..they are little spring like load wire snips about 4.5 inches long. Just snip the kibble in the middle...it's perfect:D |

Try smashing them in a bag with a rubber mallet. It mostly breaks them into pieces. There is some powdering but not that much if you don't keep banging. |
