But she leaves behind the small brown bits. These posts crack me up! Especially about leaving the brown bits! My Graysee eats EVERYTHING I put in her bowl, no matter what! (unless she's feeling sick) She LOVES the crunchy brown bits. You're all correct, though; whatever YOUR little one likes, and does well on, is what to stick with. I've been using the Blue Buffalo brand for a couple years, but now that I've heard so many good things here about Royal Canin, I might try that once. I've been trying to avoid any corn products, though. |
Toki will hoover up mostly anything so she isn't too picky about the LifeSource bits. My sister's yorkie however will pick them out and strew the bits across the floor. I don't understand why they even feel the need to have the LifeSource bits in the first place if the rest of the kibble is supposedly balanced anyway. It seems like a lot of dogs don't care for them. |
Found this old thread and want to share something. We have had Simba for 4 month now he was on BB since first day home. He was Okay on BB:animal-pa. He eats the food but only when he's really hungry(leave the brown bites also), so there was no way to feed him on a schedule as our vet recommended:(. He has been having stomach issues every month with no reasons and we spent $$$$$$$ on vet bill...Now I think Simba just can't handle the high protein in BB. Last week Simba had a 7 day long diarrhea, and fecal exam was negative and our vet couldn't find anything... Chicken rice pumpkin pepto can only make it not too frequent but won't bring it back to normal. So we started adding RC to replace rice (he didn't eat the rice anyways)...:confused::confused:He has been doing good since then... No #2 for one day and the second day, everything went back to normal!!!!!!!! :eek:Plus he LOVES the food, he eats them as if they are treats... So we can start to feed him on a schedule now!:thumbup: I know a lot dogs doing fantastic on BB, just my Simba can't tolerant something in the food. If you have similar situation, maybe you can try to switch to RC, better to do it when they are good, not like us switching in the middle of a diarrhea (we were out of options):animal-pa:animal-pa |

Tory us 5 months and weights 2.6 lb I am currently giving IAMS but the place where I take her to get groomed told me I should change her food to something Beyer like RC or BLUE buffalo I've heard a lot of good stuff with both of them but I don't know which one I should go for she's so tiny and I want to make sure that she's able to eat the well. What do tall recommend me ? |
RC Well when I got Cooper he wouldn't eat anything!!!! I was so worried about him being hypoglycemic so I tried RC because it has an appetite stimulator in it and he really likes it!! I put a little bit of the Stella and Chewy's lamb morsels which he loves the best!!!! We have tried to switch to an all natural food but he won't touch anything that isn't RC so I guess he chose what he wanted lol!!!!! It all depends on what you can get your pup to eat and stick with it!!!! |
