| Weight Loss Question My Miss Mini was eating canned food until about 3 months ago. She suffers from LP and additionally has had Legges Perthes surgery. She is having surgery on her little knees this fall. She had put a few pounds on (our fault) and we put her on a diet, my question is she has been losing 1lb. per month and now weighs 7.6, is this a good pattern for weight loss? We want to get her down to her normal 6.5 or 7.

The weight loss is great, I think it has alot to do with the new pup chasing her all over as well. I never realized how much the LP slowed her down until this pup came along, but she improvises very well!!

| My Zoey is five months out from Legg Parthes surgery and the rehab nurse said it is very important to keep her weight down until the muscles build back up. She has remained at 5.5 lbs for the entire time. Before surgery she was 6.3 lbs. I think she is a little thin but will wait until I get the "release" from the rehab nurse. Good luck with your little one.
