Bodhi's Breeder started him on Purina Puppy Chow for small dogs (bleh!) and Purina Moist & Meaty Beef as a snack (bleh, too!). The conversion to the Royal Canin Mini Puppy 33 and the occasional Greenie went extremely well. Here in Seattle, Petco is having a P.A.L.S. offer. Buy one, get one free. though March 13th. I've clipped out the ad and put it on the fridge, heh! "Choose from 3 to 7 lb. bags of Mini, Medium and Maxi Puppy or Mini and Maxi Babydog." I'm glad to hear about other preferred brands. Will have to do some research. |

The Royal Canin Mini's kibbles are very small, makes it easier for puppies. And the Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 is specially fomulated to cater to Yorkshire. It also contains glucosamine and chondroitin which is very good for bones. So it can be considered as a good choice too. |
I switched Gracie to Royal Canine Yorkshire Terrier at 10 months and she loves it :) , so do the cats :( , I have to chase them away from her food. I\'m very happy with the change, I was feeding her Authority Lamb and Rice and still like that product, but thought I would give this a try.........I\'m sold on it..........but it is expensive...... I also supplement her diet with fresh vegetables and fruit, and occasional boiled chicken |
Roya; Canin The only issue I have heard about Royal Canin is that it may be too high in protein and that is rough on the kidneys.. has anyone heard about kidney "burn out?" I love the size..and this is the food my breeder is feeding her guys..then she switches then to Eukanuba small adult..but I think Eukanaba has preservatives and other issues as well. I have heard good things about Wysong-- but the pieces may be too big..is there any best answer? |
