				   | Hello everyone, I am disapointed we have been interested in a puppy from a breeder we gave deposit back in January and visisted her twice last week she went for her vaccinations and the breeder called to tell me she has a slight underbite that might correct itself or not so we went to see her yesterday 11 weeks old and she showed me it barely noticable now unless you open her mouth and the breeder told me she would give us our deposit back ifchange our minds we are already inlove with her but so worried it will get bad as she grows ???? anybody can enlighten us or give us some input on this ......Thank you George |

				   | it isn't uncommon to have a slight underbite. I wouldn't worry about it, if you aren't going to show her. I give the breeder kudos for telling you about it! If you are concerned, I would call the Vet she took the puppy to, and ask some questions. Good luck!

				   | I would not worry about an underbite in a pet. Show quality- No. It shows you have selected a very good breeder who is upfront with you.

				   | My late Lizzie had a slight underbite and she never had a problem. I my opinion this should be no reason not to get the puppy, but then that would be your call. Are you going to be showing her? Sounds like you have good breeder, she was very honest with you.

				   | I personally would not ever turn away from a baby because of a slight underbite....like all have said, unless you are showing the baby, this should not be an issue. But if you feel like you are going to be disappointed in the baby, dont take her....if I were the breeder, I would tell you I would rather you be completely secure and thrilled with your choice, than resentful or disappointed at all....I would be fearful you may not be completely devoted to the baby, and that precious little soul deserves the very best loving a new owner can give her. |

				   | My mom's Carin has a major underbite. We call her the Warthog, but we love her nonetheless. It's a common thing in dogs, and if it doesn't alter their eating or causes pain, I don't quite see the problem. Posted is a picture o my Mom's Cairn and you can't even tell, unless she looks up at you and has her tooth sticking out...Hence the Maizey the Warthog.

So we were thankful for it! ![]() I'll always say to her, "May-may! Put your teeth back into your head!" And I cannot tell you how adorable it is to see her one tooth grin and head tilt!
