| Sophia has ring worm and grade 4 luxating patella Ugh! Just returned from the vet. Got some lotion and shampoo. She also has grade 4 luxating patella. Our vet recommends surgery. Not such a great day for her. Peyton had his shots including his first ever rabies shot. He is very sensitive and kept crying when the vet petted him. Good news is he is a zero on the luxating patella issue. What a day. My poor babies.

| Ring worm! We rescued a cat a few years ago, tested neg for ring worm, but a week after we had him home we all had ring worm... UUG. Our vet suggested using iodine prep solution. I gave the cat a bath with it, and put it be the sink used to wash hands, and anywhere the cat would scratch. Hope this helps! |

| Thank you very much for your kind words. I feel most bad for my 8 year old daughter. She has the MOST beautiful hair I have ever seen. She just got 12 inches cut off so she could donate to "locks of love." Yesterday we see this bald spot on the top of her head. It is about an inch back from her forehead. Luckily, she can easily part it on the side to hide the bald spot and is taking it all pretty well. I just hope this ring worm goes away and doesn't do any further damage. It is because of seeing it on my daughter that I decided to check the Yorkies. That is when I saw Sophia's spot. Hers is really small and reddish. My daughters is not as red and is the size of a quarter. So, hoping that Peyton, and the rest of us don't get it.

| Oh, I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with "ringworm"! If it's any comfort to you & your daughter...many, many Mom's who have kids who participated in "Wrestling" in school...have dealt with that pesky "fungus"! Been there with two son's who both wrestled in high school unfortunately on more than one occasion! It'll get better and soon new hair growth will return to both your daughter and Sophia! Hang in there...

She was upset about the ring worm at first, because of the hair loss and hearing that it is called ring worm, etc. I was explaining to her that ring worm was okay, because it is treatable, unlike Alopecia which is not. She had tears in her eyes but looked at me and said "I'm really glad I donated my hair for them." I melted. She is one truly amazing girl. I could go on and on about her. I'm a proud momma!
