| Allie just started, today will be day 5. The first day she had a loose bm, and 1 "squirt" sorry , after that no more so far, yesterday though, she started shaking and licking her mouth, I was thinking nausea? She was fine an hour or so later and ate her regular dinner. I have noticed no more scratching her sides, still licks and chews her paws. Doc said some experience nausea and diarrhea for the first week . Just have to get through this , ive heard so many great results with this med. |

| Can your vet give something for that? Just temporary until they get accumulated to it. |

| Yes, Daisy had the runs when she first started Atopica. It took about a week before she had consistent firm stools. We had to stop Atopica last year, and when we started it up again, she had diarrhea again but it resolved. It's been a wonder drug for Daisy

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When Cali first started it she got pretty sick, diahhrea, lethargic just not doing well.I stopped it for a wekk and then my vet put her on a steroid for a week or maybe 2 while restarted the Atopica and she did fine. Cali has been on it for years and has done very well on it otherwise.

| Ellie was on it for a few months. It can be nauseating, so some vets do an antiemetic for the first week. The same could probably be said for diarrhea. I'm sure the vet can give something to help.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Thanks everyone, pretty sure it was Suki with the squirts. Toby Tyler seems to be doing better on it, today is day 4 for him, no scratching but he does seem lethargic. Suki Im afraid will have to have the low dose of steroids, doesnt seem to help her much. Keep your fingers crossed for them, I feel so bad to see them scratch so bad. |

| Because there is such a direct link between diet and skin issues, I was wondering what food was being feed and if anyone had tried supplementing with probiotics since the health benefits of probiotics center on the intersection of intestinal wellness and immune function. A healthy microbial balance in the intestinal tract has proven useful in treating conditions from flatulence and diarrehea to IBD and skin problems. Anyone tried supplementing with probiotics? |
