YT Addict | Orijen 6 fish transition Anyone feed this to their yorkie? I've read great things and am looking forward to feeding our Bailey great quality food. How do I transition her since the recommended amount is so little to begin with?

| My vet said not to feed Orijen because of the high protein content. Dori did have a lot of gas on it. We fed Wellness Super5Mix until Dori stopped eating it. So we went to Taste of the Wild, Pacific Stream. She LOVES it! I has about 1/2 the Orijen protein. She eats 1/4 c. Am and Pm. Only issue I have is her face smells like fish! I know they say to mix the new with the old, but, frankly, each time I just made the switch. I used the new kibble for a couple days as training treats to build acceptance, then just began feeding. Good luck!

| Yes I wouldn't feed my baby Orijen. Too much protein. I actually feed Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream and Bentley eats it! He is super picky about foods and treats so this was a winner! I feed him about 1/3 cup twice a day of the canned food, Bentley won't eat any kibble. Good luck!

| There is no problem feeding a Yorkie Orijen -- every food is different with every dog and each will react differently. Just know that with a food like Orijen, you will be feeding a lot less because the kcal/cup is a lot more. You could also try Acana, made by Champion Foods as well.
