Please, please, if you feed your dog raw meat, even just a tiny bit for a treat, read this thread on Mz Muttley's forum concerning a very fatal parasite. It's easily killed if the meat is handled properly before feeding, but it's really required reading:

Wow that is scary. We never feed raw meat to Lucy, it is always cooked through properly, but I know a lot of people who do (I will be sending them that link). You would never think that it would be so much of a danger

doesnt that woman on Show dogs moms and dads use the BARF diet? which includes raw meat???

Wow, that is very scary. Luckily, I don't feed my dogs raw meat (I think it's gross) but since it's a parasite I suppose it could be passed from one dog to another.

Wow...that is so sad.

That is why i strongly few that raw feeding is not for eveybody, it does take a lot of study and research, and unfortunaly nothing in life is ever 100% fool proof

I have never given mine raw meat,I dont even think they would eat it..I always boil any meat I give mine.I especialy dont like the idea of raw chicken..

I was thinking of starting Rylee on a rew food diet. Does anyone have a link to any good info on it? I will definitely reconsider, but just like to do the research.
