Hahahah your story just cracked me up! :D Poor kitty. Happy to hear Snickers is better! :) |
No puppies for Becca ! Well, I didn't want to make too big of a deal out of it, but I took Becca to the Vet this morning, for her Spay, and Dental extractions. The Doctor called me just a few minutes ago, letting me know that Bekbek was just fine ! Both the Spay and extractions (2-K9's) went very well. As per the Veterinaries policy, she will keep Becca overnight tonight just for observation, and I will pick her up about noon tomorrow. No Jumping or Tug-O-War for a week...:crying: ladyjane, I want to thank you again, for such a WONDERFUL reference to the Vet. Very Pro, personal calls from the Doctor, staff is great.. just couldn't be happier ! :good job: AND, thank the rest of you for your wonderful support and comments. Have a good Day ! :) S.W. |
Good to hear that she is doing well. I was flipping through Banfield's anesthesia protocol book yesterday (ve friend has a copy). Found out that it's Banfield's policy to never combine procedures like this. They cite some weak reasons. Of course if a dog is really sick, it's no tthe time to pull baby teeth or do a cleaning, but just a spay and pulling some teeth or whatever is not a problem. It's ridiculous to put them under twice for that. |

Glad she is doing well! |
Just a followup.... Becca has been home since about noon yesterday. Actually, from her spunk, I couldn't tell she'd had anything done what so ever. Vet wanted/and did hold her overnight, which I didn't mind. Given that anything could have gone wrong, I liked the idea of her being right there, where they could react if necessary. Also, it saved me from seeing her during recovery. That period really "gets to me" when one of mine is so lethargic. Lots of do's/dont's, mainly no jumping or chew toys, since we did the dental as well. I have two little K-9's in a bottle now :D Vet prescribed "Rimadyl" (for pain) which she didn't seem to need at all. But, I gave it to her anyway, right before bedtime. She slept like a rock, but, that's not unusual for her. All in all, she's the tough little Tomboy trooper as always. And as for me, a good night's rest (finally). |
Awesome, I am so glad that she is doing well! Shes a little trooper! |
