| ![]() hey, i am new here!! i got a 5 mnth puppy yorkie >_< n she love to gobble all the food instead of chewing n biting it before swallowing it. i make her sit in front of her food bowl n wait for "oky" command to start eating. which suppose to calm her down from food excitment but it doesnt work. after i make her sit from sometimes 10 min to 20 min, still she would gobble everything finish within 2 mins. is there any advice i can take?? ![]() |

| ![]() How many times per day are you feeding her? I assume there are no other animals in the house that she thinks she is competing with? |

| ![]() Great idea!!! ![]() My pup is a gobbler too...finishes every meal in seconds! Upside is, she is highly food driven and that makes training very easy.

| ![]() I say try the ball method as well or they also make bowls that almost look like legos with "poles" in them if you want to call them that. I think you can find them at meijer but they're even kind of pricey there. Checking online might be a better alternative if the golf ball idea doesn't work. |

| ![]() Tibbe eats his kibble piece at a time but if you give him a bite of anything else or a treat - gobble! Gone is a split second! I guess it is normal for some but it does sound like you need to slow this one down with a special bowl. Doesn't bolting food cause gas?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Taycie is a food gobbler too..so much so it has upset her stomach a few times. I haven't tried the ball method yet..but lately I have been putting her kibble in her Kong. I can't fit all of her food in it so I usually have to fill it twice. So this slows her WAY down and she has fun eating ![]()
