Josie finish her bully stick and what was left of Jacks I threw it away. Josie keep the last bit of hers in her mouth trying to find a hiding place. Finally she found a place to hide it I was laughing watching her hide it. When she left the area although she guarded it for a while I took it and threw it away. It was way too small to leave laying around. I threw the bag of sticks back in the box and closed it (I could still smell them) and put the box in bottom of pantry. I figured later I would seperate some out and maybe freeze some. This morning Josie starts smelling around pantry door. She wouldn't leave. Jack even at one point started barking at her. Scared me to death when he was barking cause I was in shower and normally he doesn't bark like that unless someone is at door. I jumped out of shower and sneeked in kitchen to see what all the fuss was about. There is Josie sitting at pantry door and Jack just barking at her. Guess he couldn't figure out why she wouldn't move either. I just laughed. Took the bag of stix and threw in fridge. Threw the box outside garbage. I guess she could smell them and wanted one now! LOL. I gave them carrot stix instead. I guess there is going to be fights over those bully sticks. |
LOL!!!!! That is such a cute story. The makers of that chew should give you a discount on your next order if they hear that story. My former Yorkie, tiny Jilly, was a real chewer and would chew like she would never get another and once done, demand another, which I was afraid to give her. She would stay at it and I would try to distract her for hours. Finally, I would have to admonish her for such an attitude with her mommy and then she would be quiet - though I felt her cool resentment for making her shush up about it all for quite some time after that. It is so cute the way some of them are just bonkers over chewie things! Jack and Josie are real fans of their bully sticks and good luck managing them from here on out until the new wears off. I love it! Made me smile. I can still see Josie's face in that picture............... |

My order came today. I gave Lil Bit and Beamer each a bully stick. Beamer took his outside into the yard, Lil Bit dropped hers in the living room. Beamer came back into the house, into the living room and stole Lil Bit's and is busy chewing on it. I went to the yard and retrieved the one Beamer took outside and gave it to Lil Bit. I haven't opened the Himalayan chews yet. Should have given them one of those first to see how they like them. |

But...I merely posted what I did to inform. It only takes one incident .. and we never know when that incident might happen. Personally, yes, I am a No Bully Sticks person, but I don't advocate that for everyone. People do what they feel is best. :) |
