Donating YT 500 Club Member | Chicken & Rice - How much? Am feeding Roxy chicken & rice for 2-3 days. How much would be a good amount to feed her. She typically eats 1/2 cup a day of dry food. Would the same amount be comparable to dry food? I swear she inhaled her 1/4 cup serving last night in one gulp. Am I starving her?

| Wet food is at least 70% moisture, so she will need considerably more. I'd do 3/4-1 cup, but smaller meals are good. Because there is so much volume to it, some of them can't handle half of their daily amount at once (they bloat a bit which would not help a pre-existing stomach issue).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you! I'll be sure to increase the amount & number of feedings. 1st time I've had to use it and didn't remember what people have said about the amount. I was so shocked at how fast she ate it. She does luv her chicken though. : )

| Why are you only feeding her real food for only 2 or 3 days? Since she loves it so much and does great with it, why change? You can even give red meat and rice cooked with lentils, and mixed with carrots & green beans and even ground water chestnuts, bok-choy, slightly steamed broccoli, swiss chard and so on. Real food is the best and safest way to go, and they LOVE it!!!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Plain & simple... I don't enjoy all this kitchen prep/planning stuff. Have grown to dislike it very much over the years. I don't do a lot for myself & dh, so Roxy is better off with a good dog food. DH is our main cook these days and he can't be trusted with her diet. She does get some healthy people food for treats at times, but not full time.
