Using hand to apply petzlife gel, no brushing?

I have the whole set of petzlife oral care ( both spray and gel ). I found out gel is much easier to apply because it says that i can apply using my hand. My puppy never let me to brush his teeth so using hand to apply is good for us. My concern is ..after using petzlife, does he ever need some brushing to remove tartar build-up???

I bought both the spray and gel, but like the spray better, but we took a poll and most people are like you and like the gel better. Petzlife is said to soften tartar and you can brush it away later. No dog likes to get their teeth brushed but you can train them to tolerate it. Only use a toothpaste made for dog though. Another thing that helps is a tough chewing stick like bully sticks, I believe these work almost like a scraper and help keep the teeth and gums clean and healthy.

I've been using my finger and so far so good, Gio and Natty tolerate the brushing.
