| Holistic Vets? Not that I can afford it at this point, but does anyone use a holistic vet or have any knowledge/experience about them? |

| I see a hollistic vet! I actually pay less with her because she doesn't charge an office visit, she doesn't believe in over-vaccinating and over-medicating. All of these things mean I spend less. You might look into it because it really might not be more expensive at all.

| How do you go about finding a holistic vet? I am desperately looking for a vet who doesn't over-vaccinate, but I don't even know where to look anymore. I've sent emails out, asking about the vet's policies, etc. but I haven't found one in whose protocols I believe (or who is willing to vaccinate according to Dodd's protocol). So, how did you find your holistic vet?

| I have considered going to a holistic vet over the years and one vet here actually does both conventional medicine and holistic medicine but they are far and I have heard mixed reviews. I ended up switching vets earlier this year to someone who is a traditional hospital but who has an interest in holistic approaches. For me, a conventional vet is needed but I home cook and I've had my battles over the years with dumb dumb vets who had a lot to say about it. I think it is a good option - I might keep a conventional vet too but keep a holistic for some things. To Joann - here is a website with info on holistic vets and their philosophy What Is Holistic Medicine?
