Just in case you do run into problems, this thread is worth reading. It turned out to be pretty funny, IMO, but informative at the same time: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...-lipstick.html |

Thor's sometimes comes out a little bit after a nap. I think it does matter how erect it is - if it's really out, which it sounds like it is if he can't walk, that could be a health problem. Your vet should really be enough of a grown up to discuss it. Is it maybe that some hair is getting caught, preventing it from receding? You can try gently pulling the skin back over it, and cut the hair on the end very short. If it keeps happening, I would talk to another vet who learned about ALL parts of the canine anatomy. ;) |

If the pup appears to be in pain with it, it would be a good idea to see the vet. There is a condition called priapism that involves the blood being unable to drain back out of the penis. |

Have a good Vet check him out for bladder stones. And not just looking for crystals in a urine sample. An xray or now they may do ultrasound but you could be looking for stones too large to be passed. I had a male many years ago with that problem and it was bladder stones causing it. They must be treated by surgery or if the dissolvable kind, by diet, if that is the case. |

That picture did not look real! I had to go back and read the thread. It is a funny thread! |
Apologies for hijacking this thread w/my own story, but my little Buzzy Boy is 14 months old, not nuetered, and doesn't have erections...He also doesn't hump anything, anytime...When he first came home (4 mo. old) he tried humping Apple, for the first couple of days, and she wasn't having any part of it...She told him no, in no uncertain terms, and he stopped...It's never happened again...All his equipment has dropped into the right place, so I don't know why this is?...I'm just glad it is lol... |
