I was grossed out at first, too... but it doesn't LOOK like a penis or anything, LOL. It's literally just looks like a stick or something. Those pig snouts, etc gross me out more because they are literally a pigs snout and it's very apparent that it is, lol. *shudders* Jackson loves his bully sticks, they are pretty much the only thing he will chew on besides Himalayan chews, but he likes bullies better. :) I am so thankful to have found YT member Baxtersmommy because the regular sticks she has don't smell at all to me... I purchased 2 from the local pet store this weekend to tide Jackson over and they smelled disgusting! I couldn't stand it! I guess I forgot about how terrible they smelled since I've gotten spoiled w/ the non-smelly kind, ha. AMD also has good non-smelly ones but for some reason Jackson (15lbs) went through those alot faster. |
1 Attachment(s) What they are made of freaked me out at first too, lol!!! But I think it is a healthy, natural treat and encourages them to use those little toofers!!! Mine love em, they don't smell. Member AMD (Westbrook Dog) sells them as well. Non stinky Look how much the girls love their bullys!!! :D |
PLEASE:eek: do not talk about hotdogs, that took me 4 years to eat again after my last discussion on "How it's Made" LOL!! Really my crew loves their bully sticks and I just try to rememer they love them and I make them brush before they go to bed.. Think of them as all natural digestible doggie treat..:D;) |
I've read here that some of you say they are long lasting. Maybe it's the ones that I bought, but Rhett can tear through an entire one in a single sitting. So for us, they are an expensive treat :( Oh- and hubby doesn't like me reminding him where they come from. |

They do STINK but Lucy loves them and it's the only treat that takes Ringo more than 3 days to finish. She'll never finish one. He loooves pig ears but they are gross too and hard on his tummy. |

I buy from Best Bully Sticks, and buy them 100 at a time, and try to buy when there is free shipping...I sell them to my clients, at my cost, just as a courtesy...I usually only pay about .80 or .90 a stick...I made the mistake of buying the small/medium, once, and my kidz ate right through them, so I'm sticking w/the 6" regular sticks...They last several days around here...Best Bully has the odorless sticks, but my crew like the stinky ones...lol...I don't care, really, so it's not a problem...One of my best friends, w/a Yorkie, can't handle the smell, so she has to buy the odorless ones...what a wuss lol...:p |

PLEASE help! Whats the best size/length of a bully stick to buy Quick question, whats the best size or length to buy? The reason for my question is this, Mocha recently choked on a bully stick, I had to go in after it and remove it from his throat, scared me to death! I told my husband that we were done with bullysticks, but maybe I purchased the wrong size, which is why he choked. Everyone on here, talks about them so highly! Is it better to purchase the thicker short ones or the longer thinner ones? Please help! I want Mocha to enjoy them, but I'm very nervous to give it. |
