Donating YT 500 Club Member | Goji Berries Does anyone know if Goji Berries are OK for dogs or not? I don't know that Roxy would eat them, but am concerned about any I may drop on the floor unnoticed. Any input would be appreciated.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Natural Dog Health Remedies: Goji Berries for Dogs From the article: Dr. Brown, a specialist in the toxicology area at the Cornell University Veterinary School, that goji berries are not a problem for dogs! However, if you do decide to give goji berries to your dog, here are a few things to bear in mind: Since goji berries are high in sugar levels, it may not be a good idea to give them to dogs with blood sugar problems (e.g. diabetes). Goji berries may have blood-thinning effects, so do not give them to dogs who are going to have surgeries. Goji berries are found to have adverse interactions with some drugs (e.g. warfarin, drugs for diabetes); therefore, check with a holistic vet first if your dog is on medication. Goji berries imported from China may have high levels of pesticides and insecticides, so be sure to check the source before purchasing.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Also . . . Keep in mind though that the seeds of most fruits contain cyanide which is poisonous to dogs as well as humans. Always remove seeds from fruit before giving them to your dog to be safe. Too much fruit can give your dog a stomach ache or diarrhea.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you so much for the info. I don't know if she will like them... she preferes veggies more than fruit usually, but she's good at snatching up anything we happen to drop. Thought I better check to prevent a possible disaster. Thanks again.
