Thank you! |
I have been having a hard time getting Sambo to eat his food during his feeding time. I'm feeding him 3 times a day using the schedule from housebreak your dog in 7 days. He eats less than 1/4 a cup though out the day and I know he's hungry. He's 5 months old and weighs less than 2 pounds. I've tried the pinapple, yougart and even some of my sons baby food but none of it has worked. Are there any suggestions on how to get him to eat, he will take a few lil bites but then is done with his food. Thank you. :animal-pa:aimeeyorkSambo & Jenny:girl: |
Is 1/4 cp of food okay for 2lbs of dog? I have an 80lbs dog that literally lives on about 1 cp of food per day. When we got him from the shelter almost 5yrs ago they told us he was a light eater and that was about all he would eat, and they were right. He is DH's dog, and if DH is gone for a couple of days he will eat nothing until he returns, depression. But his regular diet is about 1 cup of dog food per day. He eats no human food at all. He has a delicate stomach and gets pancreatitis at the drop of a hat. Sadly, no bones, no scraps, nothing. He is solid, can barely feel is ribs...just this side of 'heavy'. He goes on a looooonnng walk every morning. So, perhaps, 1/4 cp is all this little one needs?? I don't know.... |
