| HELP! Any luck with anxiety medicines I HATE the thought of using medicine for Chloe, but we really have to do something more. She has HORRIBLE separation anxiety. I am home with her all day home, so she is with me pretty much 24 hours a day everyday. Except of course weekends when we run errands. It is getting so bad when I go take a shower she will start eating the sides of the baseboard, same thing when I go out to the front yard to garden I come in to find part of the baseboard eaten..YIKES. I have to now put her in her crate if I am going to be away from her for even 5 minutes. I know there are several medicines’ out there, and would like to know you experience if it helped with the separation anxiety???

| Have you tried putting her in a safe place while you're away? Like an ex-pen or a crate? I'm having a similar problem. Kaji and I spent our first month together, and when I started working, he let me know he was none too pleased. He would mark me when he saw me wear my work clothes. Crazy, but true. After a while, and really working with him, the marking me stopped, and his excited pee habit was almost all gone. Now that I don't have a job anymore, we're spending more and more time together. He saw me get ready for a really important interview yesterday and the behavior came back. He was so stressed he gave himself diarrhea. It's back to square one for me.

| I know my little maltese had to have something when we moved to another state. The first day I went to work I found a note on my door that he had barked all day. My vet gave him something to calm him - it did make him sleepy. I only had to use it for a few days until he got adjusted to his new home. He was fine after that. |
