Oh wow, I dropped two on the floor last night and wouldn't let him have them. I thought they might hurt him. I'll give him a couple!

Blue Buffalo is a pretty good food? I almost bought that, but I went with Natures Recipe Terrier instead. He doesn't go crazy over it.

I can't wait to let Rhett try them, he already loves green beans, carrots and banana. Little guy eats better than I do most days.

Blue Buffalo is a good food,it is what is was feeding before switching to Life's Abundance. My two ate the first two bags really well, but on the last bag I bought they would hardly touch it.(and they don't turn their noses up to much) I got the samples of Lifes Abundance from Baxtersmommy and they went bonkers for it. I also like that you can set it up for auto ship and it is about the same price for me compared to Blue(had to drive 30 miles one way to get Blue) and it comes straight to your door.

I think I should be trying some of these samples you guys talk about. My guy is not crazy about anything I give him to eat other than cheese that I give him when he sits or lies down. I only have enough food to get through the week, I thought I'd try the Blue Buffalo and see how he likes it. I read somewhere where raisins and grapes are toxic and I thought the same about blueberries. Wish I hadn't snatched them up off the floor so quickly now. He actually had one in his mouth and I took it away.

BB is supposed to be a good food, though depending on which site you look at depends on where it falls in the rankings. I get confused trying to wade through all the different sites.

Unfortunately, they don't offer samples, but there is a $5.00 off coupon on their website, so I figured I would try it. Rhett gobbles it down dry. I've read some of the dogs here don't like the "life bits", but he doesn't discriminate against those.

$5.00 off is a good bit for an $18 bag of dog food. I assume PetSmart will take the coupon? I don't understand the "life bits"? I'd like to find a food that he loves and that's good for him.

He does the craziest thing when he eats, he'll grab a few pieces of food, run to the carpet and eat it, go back to his bowl and repeat. He barely eats a cup of food a day.

Apple & Buzz get 3-5 blueberries, each, every morning, whilst I'm having mine...I do soak them in a little vinegar water for about 20 minutes to get any pesticides off them...My guys love blueberries! They also love organic spinach and apples...I try to give my little boarders these type of treats, and they turn their noses up at them...They just weren't raised right lol...

Gosh a cup of food a day is a lot for these little guys. My Bogie is 7lbs and he eats not hardly 1/2 cup and Jada is 6lbs (she is overweight by 1lb) and she eats 1/4 cup,plus their veggies and fruit treats. How much does your little boy weigh?

He's right at 5 lbs. I give him a cup a day in two seperate feedings (1/2 cup twice a day) because that's what's on the bag. He doesn't nearly eat all of it. I feel better now actually, I thought he wasn't eating enough.

It does seem like a lot!

Jackson is 16lbs and only eats 1/2 cup per day of dry food, but there's also some wet food mixed in, plus he gets treats throughout the day.

Acana, which he eats, recommends 1 cup per day for a dog his size with his activity level but bags often put TOO much, I've found out. What food is recommending 1 cup a day for a 5lb dog?

WE pick ours fresh then freeze them. They get a couple after breakfast! They love them frozen in the summer!!

The better the food quality, usually the smaller amt you end up feeding. With the BB small breed puppy, the bag says between 1/4 cup and 3/4 daily.

I just checked the bag again. For 2-5 lb 6-12 month puppies it says 3/4-1 1/4 cups a day. Out of the cup I put in his bowl a day he probably consumes half a cup. It's natures recipe chicken, barley and rice.
