so happy you called her - she is really nice. yes you paid for blood work get a copy. I keep a file on all my dogs with everything including the xrays dd had for her leg on cd in that file so if anything happens I have everything most recent on top to give to any specialist, vet or er. This way there is no guessing it is all right there in writing for them to review. Is it sweet potato or white potato? |
either or, so i just came back with both. my other dogs I think want to pack their bags and move. we now have a wrought iron fence going around the brick patio so no one will touch the grass till a deep freeze hits, and their acana bowl is covered so tuck can't get into it. This is the hardest thing to do, try and feed separately, I'm trying to space out tucks pills to every hour instead of all at once. so he's eating about a tsp. of that zd frequently. now I am gonna cook his fish, so he can eat that. |
What's the difference between the ID and the ZD, I have 2 cans left of the ID from the ist. vets visit, I was gonna add it to the others food. |

i/d has pork and z/d has chicken - is it ultra z/d or just z/d as ultra is hydrolized which is broken down protein I feed mine separate as i measure out and it keeps weight down and i get more computer time lollllllllllllllll as I tell dh I am feeding the dogs. Demi is regulated that way too so they do not eat her poops as she eats then poops - They are like clock work now - eat then poop then drink water lol |
ultra ZD, I did use a sweet potatoe today with the fish and string beans. he ate the mixture well, he must have pooped this am, because the hub rearranged and wash the patio/dog prison down and someone pooped behind the gas grill, it was all very soft formed, no liquid, tucker likes to have a private spot to go so it had to be him. |

so to summarize what happened with positive thinking... he got into something, was treated with flagyl it worked alittle, his labs were messed up from the diarrhea, then he testes pos. for worms, put on panacur, and the panacur killed his already inflammed stomach, so it was weeping into his abd. cavity. Put on prednisone and the inflammation went down and no further leaking, now on anti inflammatory diet. what will happen when pred is over, will he still be cured, or will it inflame again b/c he might really have PPL, or PPE which ever. What's gonna happen when he takes his 2nd round of panacur?? I think the only reason I am going to the wed. appt. at malvern is to get copies of his labs, so I can have them for follow ups with that susan and my local doc. any thoughts?? |

yes wed. appt. is with a internal medicine specialist... why aren't you commented on my summarizing? are you thinking something else?? and what am I gonna do when it comes time for the next panacur treatment. I wish someone would know how low you can go with the dose but still be effective. All 3-4 vets so far said panacur is wonderfully safe, but susan said I believe either her dog or someone elses responded the same way as tucker, and the 10lb. dose is too strong for him. But she doesn't know how low to go. |

my kitchen table is piled high of tuckers papers, I have to sit down and condense it all from day one in the tablet, so that all symptoms are clear for the next round of whatever. Maybe I should keep the case of ZD just in case, but he seems to tolerate the fish mixture well. I am really separating the pills to one at a time, so he's eating every 2 hours with a pill. I can't wait for susan's package this week so we can start building him up. |

I just finished with getting all tuckers info. glad thats done and ready for weds. anyway he just went outside and had a rock solid bm. I wouldn't have believed it, but I saw it for myself.. I am ready for that poop dance!!!! |
do you think my local yorkie rescue could use that case of ZD? I would think they would have someone who has diarrhea? if not a shelter could mix it? |
