| Grinding Kibble I tried something different to get my very fussy eater to get her to eat some kibble. I ground the kibble in a coffee grinder and mixed the powder with canned food. It seems to have worked for now until she figures it out. I wonder if anyone else has tried this? |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I've never thought of that....I have always thought that if the companys that made the kibble made it into a biscuit (like a bone treat) and told us that a certain number of "biscuits" would equal a certain amount of food (like 3 biscuits would equal 1/4 cup) I would have NO problem getting Bridget to eat it. It would certainly solve my problem. She'll eat ANY treat - even her kibble if she thinks it a treat and I give her just a couple at a time while playing fetch. LOL - I never went to this extreme for my skin kids!!!

| LOL. No, I've not tried that one yet for Zhoie. She is a very picky eater too, get tired of everything after a 2-3 months. However, my latest trick which has been working for a few months now is, I use little pink wire cutters and snap her kibble into. She has such a small little mouth, is seems to work better for her.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I haven't tried this for kibble, but if it works for you and you're willing to do this - I think it's a great idea! I've used a coffee grinder to make eggshell-calcium and it works great .

| I've tried it! With the vegetarian food. It worked for a few days but I think she got wise to it. I still smash up her Wellness at dinner time - but I haven't had to grind it yet. Hey, if it works . . I think it's a great idea. Kind of hard to pick around the kibbles when they are a fine dust! Now, the only way she will eat the vegetarian food is if I put yogurt on it. She REALLY likes it if I feed her the kibbles one by one - with a tiny dip of yogurt on it. That way, the kibbles stay crunchy. Kind of like chips and dip. |
