Does Natural Balance contain Ethoxyquin ? I was wondering if dick van pattens natural balance dog food contains Ethoxyquin The vet suggested this dog food for Pixie and I wanted to know if anyone else feeds it to their dogs and if it is a good quality dog food. |
Sorry to say, yes it does....Vets typically don't know much about nutrition, just what they where told by the pet food reps..... |
Their Natural Balance food rolls actually said "no ethoxyquin" on them but I remember it being mentioned their dry food does contain it. I still don't think it's a bad food. And it's way better than the rest. IMO, it's better than vets recommending Science Diet, Iams, or Pedigree. |
See NB's response in post 10 of the thread you started in March. They had a different response from them in post 29. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ght=ethoxyquin |

Oh my I didn't think it did. That is what I feed Tucker the Ultra Premium for small dogs. He really love's their wet food. |

If a product works for you and your pup is healthy eating it and it's a good quality food, why would you care what anyone say's. NB has stated and another thread has the letter from NB, that it DOES NOT have Exoythcoin in their food, fish products yes(due to government regulations) but not the regular foods. Why some keep saying yes is beyond me. |
