What time(s) do you feed?
 
Just wondering the times of the day, you feed your furkidz?...I feed at 6 a.m. and about 5-6 p.m....they have little 'potty' treats, during the day, but wonder if anyone feeds a low calorie middle of the day snack to their grown up furkidz?

Rem eats NV Raw - 4 medallions per day in 4 little meals

6:30 / 7am after potty
9/10am after exercise
12/1 for lunch
5pm for dinner - occasionally fresh salmon / beef / chicken / other protein as a little bonus

He usually gets carrots or green beans as an accompaniment with each

No treats

Wow, 4 a day? How much does he weigh? My treats, btw, are green beans or small apple slices, and, sometimes, a biscotti liver biscuit, or something of that nature...Apple weighs just under 5 lbs., and Buzz about 5 1/2 lbs...Since I feed Stella & Chewies, the patties are an ounce and a half, each, and they get two each a day...

Remy is 5.5 - 6 lbs

He is extremely active

Their "calculator" puts him between 3-4 (1 oz each) per day. I started him with 3 per day and he was still hungry, 4 seems to be right (altho he'd gladly eat 5.... the little piggy LOL) and he does not gain weight...

I know what you mean about little piggies lol...Both of mine would make themselves sick on raw, if I would feed it to them...I never could get Apple to eat any kind of kibble, effectively, and she was so thin...Hmmm, maybe I should feed a one ounce medallion, three times a day, instead of a 1 1/2 oz. twice a day...It seems they are perpetually hungry, but neither are underweight...

I know what you mean about them being perpetually hungry.... that's kind of why I spread his out throughout the day figuring he gets a little more frequently so always has something in his tummy...

Maximo is 16 months and still eats 3 meals a day. He is very active and has maintained the same weight for 6 months.

Teddy, 9 months +, definitely still needs his 3 meals and treats.

They eat at 5:30 am, noon, and 5 pm with 2 yogurt treats in between.

My spoiled babies eat when we get up at 5am...they get a snack of 1tsp yogurt with 1/4 t. organic cold pressed coconut oil at 8am before I go to work. I get home at about 4:15 and they want supper as soon as I get in the door. Then they get a snack of green beans or carrots at about 8pm. Heaven forbid if you forget about the 8pm treat they go stand in the kitchen at the fridge to remind me:) Oh and on my days off if I go to the groc or leave for any reason,when I come back they think I am home from work and it's supper time. Goes to show they know what their routine is,Mommy is home lets eat!!! :)

LOL, this made me giggle. I feed four small meals a day. One of those is at 5:00 p.m. right when I get off work, so they are ready to eat right when I walk in the door. Same thing happens to me on weekends, if I run an errand they think it is time to eat when I get back. I also have a clock with a chime. I swear, my babies have learned how many chimes happen between meals because when it is feeding time, they are sure to let me know if I forget!:D

I free feed Sofia as she is only 2.5lbs. I want to make sure she has it if she needs it.

How cute...maybe I should give them an 8 p.m. snack...How many beans or carrots do you give them? Michelle, remember when I was posting about sleeping w/me...well, they are now, as of last Friday night :rolleyes:...And Apple is waking me up between 4:45 -5....argh! Buzz looks at her, like "what the heck is wrong w/u", but I have to get them both up to go outside to tinkle, so I guess I'm stuck...I'm thinking, maybe if Apple (and Buzz, of course) get an 8 p.m. snack, she might sleep in a little later...It's not that she has to "go" @ 5 a.m., because their last outside potty is about 10:30 p.m., and when they didn't sleep w/me, they were both good 'till about 6:30...So, she just wants to get up and play...It is fun, 'though, when she wakes me up, because she starts rolling around on the bed, giving me kisses, etc., and she's not the most affectionate yorkie on the planet....They've already started lining up @ the bedroom door about 9:30 or 10, so as not to miss out lol...They LOVE sleeping w/mommy!

Mine get thier wet food anywhere between 630 and 8 depending on the day, then again in the afternoon between 3 and 5. They always have dry available for snacking, including in thier kennels at night.

Maggie I know you are beyond thrilled to have your babies sleeping with you. I am so excited for you. I don't know about sleeping later seems my two have inherited our body clocks(early risers) Bogie got me up at 4am yesterday:eek: As for the 8pm treat I cut up about a 1'' hunk of carrot and cut it up in portions that they share (bogie gets bigger ones cause he is bigger LOL) or if I feed green beans prob. about 5 pieces each.;):)

Mine eat whenever I get up, can be as early as 7 or as late as 10.

They then eat between 5 and 7 (I vary this depending on how early they got their AM meal).

With their PM meal they get green beans mixed in.

They get one treat in the middle of the day sometime, usually a dried sweet potato, sometimes something else.

If I am going a lot of training with them that day, I will use Zukes mini naturals and then cut out the middle of the day snack and possibly cut down on dinner depending on how many Zukes they got.

I free feed Sophie Wellness Small Breed dry kibble. She chooses to eat at about 6 am, about noon and then a bite about 7 pm. She also gets her "good girl" treats. Sophie weighs 4.8 lbs at 16 months.
