| Please help me I think my Roxxy is losing her hair. Normally when we bathe her, her hair on her head is light but you can still see the hair strands. Lately, when I bathe her, her head almost looks bald. When I dry her, her hair is white but full. I am worried. I am going to take her to the vet but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of what's going on with her. She eats normal and makes normal. I am begining to worry that she might be losing her hair. She's only 7 months old. Any ideas? |

| She could have allergies or something else on her skin causing hair loss. I'd get her to the vet if you think she's balding before she loses it all.

When I'm pouring water over their heads, their scalps look almost bald. Judge your Roxxy's hair when it is dry, rather than wet. | |

| Is she actually loosing hair or is she just thin on the top? I think a vet visit is a very good idea. If there is no mange involved maybe her thyroid is off. Blood work can detect this and then again it may be she just has a thin coat. Better safe than sorry. Good luck, |

| I thought it was quite normal for Yorkies to 'blow their puppy coat' right around this age? My Daisy went through a lot of changes when she was 7 months old; she had a giant growth spurt and the color of the hair on her head lightened dramatically. Of course, a vet visit is always a good idea when you are concerned....... Best wishes to you...............
