| pebbles vet appointment Hi guys well pebbles went to her appointment today and she dosent have allergies to fleas .yea!!!! But she did have a terrible problem. She had a accident back in october and her leg was in a cast for six weeks during that time she refused to stand and eat her dry food and my orthopedic vet told me to try wet food because she needed her nutrition to heal her fracture on front leg. I gave her benefull then after she stated to heal i tried switching her back to her dry by mixing the two together and that wasent very successfull and being my baby i gave her what she wanted. sorry back to the vet... the wet food caused her stool to be soft to loose a times which caused the anal glan to fill up with secretion which caused her to scoot her bottom (and i thought that was worm problems) and chew the hair on her bottom and legs and some of her back. so today he took care of the anal glan problem and gave her a shot ofdepo medrol. I also have to get her back on a fiber filled diet. So guys i need you expertise on getting her back on the right track. I would just like to give you a quick story on how i became pebbles mommy. She was at a pet store that i knew the owner through a friend and she contacted meto ask if i would be intrested in adopting a 4 month old yorkie she was going to have to send back to the breeder as she had sold her to a client and they decided to return her cause she had heart mummur and luxacating knees. she explained this to me and said the breeder would put her down because thry couldnt selk her.. Oh my gosh i was so upset of course i would give her what she wanted for the vet bills. I took her straight to my vet and he had raised yorkies before and loved the breed. He found a mummr but the knees were in good shape. I almost cry when i am looking at her little angletic face and i just cant imagine anyone doing what they said they do with unsellable puppies. So i truley belive i was mentt to walk in that shop that day looking for a gift for a friends puppy. And by the way she will be one this month and the heart mummur is all gone she out grew it. thanks so much Pebbles and K.K. Last edited by pebblespoo; 02-05-2010 at 03:02 PM. |
