you were the one that jumped on my reply, not the other way around, so my guess is, you are the one being bothered by this.

I see it as as behavior that can be corrected. if you don't want to correct it that is your business. but for those who prefer to stop it. it is simple, just don't allow it.

I think maybe if you had started with saying it was an "unwanted" behavior instead of a "bad" behavior that would have made a little difference. bc some people don't see it as bad, but perhaps unwanted by some. I personally think it's funny, BUT if I had a great dane, you are right, I probably wouldn't allow it, along with barking as well, bc, well, a great dane is bigger than a yorkie. Our little ones get away with a lot more than the big guys purely bc of their size.

yes that makes sense esp if the toy is dirty, which I'm sure most are in great need of a washing. I know Uni's are.

You are right, perhaps a different word would have made the difference. I see the words as interchangable, but others might not.

I know what you mean about the 'after effects' of being kissed by your dog after they've had their way with either themselves or an object - Chanel has her boyfriend 'Magilla the Gorilla' and I don't stop her cause she only dates him every 2 months or so - I guess it's considered gross by some to even kiss your pet but I know I do and I just don't CARE what people think :)

I love their little puppy lips....at the same time - not crazy about getting kissed after - that's what a tooth brush is for :D

I don't let my dogs do this, to me it is not funny, it's a bad habit and a Nasty one, IMO. Would you let your teenage son let his pony out and hump around the house on pillows and stuffed animals because he had the urge to do so, I'd hope not and I'd say you taught him at a early age that we keep the pony in the barn.:D

I agree. Animals do not have a sense of good or bad, right or wrong...just what comes natural. Unwanted is so much better....

I had a biter that had walked in front of my car in 1986. He was a severely traumatized little guy but a darling. He passed in 2006 and I still miss the little
character. He was a sweetheart. Just had some issues.

When Maxwell was frightened by something...loud noises...lots of strangers coming around... things like that, he would grab one of his teddy bears and hump it. There was NO stopping him...and he went so fast he actually toppled over a coupleof times. I always said it was his stress reducer. Who knows?

But....here is something that is on my website that a friend gave me. We named it Maxwell's favorite toys. You must click on it to get the full effect. OK..I must admit...I did laugh out loud a few times over it. :D

Oh that was absolute awesomeness!

Uni topples over sometimes too! She goes with her head down and flips over. I worry about her knees. Is humping bad for LP pups? She only does it when she's in heat during the prime flaggin period LOL. I think she's done this cycle. Hoping to get her spayed before next time.

My Maxwell had LP and never had any major problems humping his teddies. :p
I really don't think it hurts them....it is like exercise. not really doing something to jar that knee...like jumping off of furniture or something....

It did not make his any worse.

I SWORE I wouldn't come back to this thread - the visuals are too much for my virgin eyes

I HAD to post this. It's 6 AM on a Saturday morning - I'm drinking coffee and searching my computer for my doggie porn. This is pathetic. BUT - so I don't sit here totally wasting my time - here is Chanel having a hissy fit cause I put her boyfriend in a basket.:p

He is NOT tall dark and handsome. He's short, dark and ugly but hey - he's been around the block more times to count, so he has experience (Chanel is his 3rd girlfriend that I know of)

but still - I do discourage her dating him. She's way too young for him....He's had LOTS of plastic Surgery and yet he still Won the Ugliest Toy Contest once. :eek: Not a great claim to fame.

1st pic - Her huge hissy fit - you can't tell but she did climb in and drag him out by his arm (She's the dominant - he's the submissive)

2nd pic - Well - I think you get the idea, The funny thing is he MUST be face up. There's something about that plastic nose......(note the perfect position)

ps - You have to open the last photo to see the full effect of her date - Now you tell me - Is that a happy face or WHAT ? :D(she did have a ciggy after but has since quit)
