| we gave Emma canned food for about 5 days then gradually mixed dry food w/it. But first we would let the dry food soak in warm water till it was kinda soft |

| Just continue to offer him is food. If he still wont eat go to the grocery store and get Lil Caesars. Alot of the picky eaters on here would eat that. Little pups sleep alot I wouldnt worry about that.

| He could be sick...lathargy is a sign of being sick. If this persists I would take him to the vet right away.

| do you have the suger medicin stuff? Where we got Emma they said dogs are prone to "Hyperglycemia" or something which makes them lose sugar fast, and there is this tube of stuff that looks like toothpaste that they eat...i guess its full of sugar, but you only give them like a finger full per day for like a few weeks. |

No puppy should be lathargic. Yes they do sleep alot but if yours is only sleeping you need to get him to the vet. Also if you bought him from a breeder what food was he on before? You can't change their food overnight without causing problems. Do you have nutrical in the house or Karo syrup? If yes then give him a mouthful, these little ones can go down fast and you need to be aware how critical the first few months are in these little guys. Good LUck and let us know how he is feeling..

| Lathargy My 4 month old Yorkie also gets lathargy. We give him just a fingertip of honey and usually within 15 minutes he is good as new. Should we be getting a blood test to see if he is diabetic? I read about the hypoglycemia and it seems like that is what it is. |

| Also, have some Nurti-Cal on hand to give her if she's not eating at all. Also, try giving her baby food..... meat flavored like beef or lamb.
