I am sorry you girl is not feeling well. How was her appetite prior to breeding her? Have you made any changes to her diet since you bred her? What foods are you feeding her? I can understand your concerns since the first 4 to 5 weeks are critical to fetal development. Is she currently have any symptoms other than loss of appetite?

I am so terribly sorry to hear about Bella, poor girl. I don't have a clue as to what could be wrong, I am very worried as you said she became sick shortly after she stopped the meds. Please keep us posted, prayers and best wishes {{{hugs}}}

Thanks for the hugs!! Bella saw her vet today and was told that there was nothing wrong with her...again!!! She is on a low dosage of amoxicillin for the duration of her pregnancy. The doctor was able to feel a puppy or two by feeling her tummy but it is still to early for blood test. She is feeling better today with no vomitting and just two diarrheas and slowly getting her appetite back! I will keep every posted on her journey into motherhood!!

Thanks! She saw her vet again today and again was told that there is nothing wrong with her. She was also able to feel a puppy or two in the tummy but it is still too early for the blood test. She put Bella on a low dosage of Amoxicillin for the duration of her pregnancy. Bella seems to be bouncing back today! Vomitting stopped and she only had diarrhea twice. She's even eating!!! I will keep everyone posted on her progress into motherhood!

whew~ that's good news... yes, please keep us up to date... I'm so happy she's feeling better, I would imagine it's pretty tough on these little ones bodies to carry babies. I only was grandma of one litte, many many years ago and I will never do it again, my vet was also very grateful of my decesion too... I hounded her for every little thing:p, starting with them getting stuck together:eek: My vet made me go into my bedroom and close the door before she would talk to me, I was in a panic...lol
It's also way too hard for me to let them go to new homes, I want to keep them all...lol

I know, I think I aged at least 10 yrs!!! The puppies are going to go to family members so they will always be a part of my life and one (a girl) will stay with her mom and me (grandma) for the rest of her happy life! I can't wait to meet them all!!!
