So Layla went for an ultrasound and came back with this cut- I'm not sure what the other scabs are from- maybe the clipper was hot on her skin? Anways- does the cut look ok? It is very red- scabbing- i'm worried that they cut her nipple- if i just keep putting neosporine on it should it be ok? I have to keep a sweater on her which she hates because it rubs against the cut and hurts her, but if i keep the sweater off she is scratching because the hair is growing in. Just wanted to make sure it looks like it is healing ok

That looks like cuts to me. Your poor baby. I would contact the owner of the grooming place and discuss this with them. It is not OK that this happened.

lol was not a groomer- this happened at a vet hospital- Layla needed an ultrasound and they shaved her before hand- i think she got cut because that is right on her ribs- poor baby.

Well, that does look kind of nasty.
While I don't think Neosporin would hurt it, I'm not sure it will fix the problem either. Can you email a pic to your vet?

hmm.. well my vet does not have a website. Do you think I should email the vet hospital?- edited to add- ya they dont' have an email address either.

That's bad. I would call the vet and complain and ask for some free ointment for her. Poor baby. Would a onesie feel better on her than a sweater.

oh Patti what a WONDERFUL idea- the sweater has a seam that is rubbing against the cut- as do the pjs- going to get one now!

Hmmm, I don't know.
I mean, it is likely just fine, but I'd only want to make a call like that for Ellie. I think if you are concerned, you should email them. Showing the pic to a tech or groomer may be okay, but then they aren't there to feel it. It reminds me of something....just not sure exactly what. Maybe rug burn (which would make sense) or a skinned knee.

well neither have an email. I think I'll see how it looks tomorrow and then if need be bring her by our vet's office. I would like to tell the vet hospital what happened but I mean there is no point in calling and telling this all to a receptionist.

She won't even eat with the sweater on because she leans forward and it rubs :( I just took it off and she is gobbling up her food.

just ran out and got her THE cutest onesie- she hate it of course- but as soon as I take her shirt off- she is itching- oh well- i think she looks cute :D

Maybe you can just let it heal naturally now without any medication on it. If it gets really red, then maybe put some Bacitracin Ointment on it to pull out any infection. I sure would be showing them what they did to my baby and make them at least take something off the bill and give a free visit.

Well I put a bit more polysporine on it tonight- it is bothering her so much- she is trying to get at it even with the onesie on- so i felt bad not doing SOMETHING for her.

I tried to find their email to send them a picture- but they don't have one- can't blame them- i'm sure people would be sending pictures of things asking what was wrong- but I think I might call there tomorrow and see what they say.

Since it is so itchy, there is a possibility that Cortisone would help I suppose. I have no idea if it is okay to use on that type of spot though.

Looks Like they got her good in that one spot but also looks like a razor burn beside it. I would defiantly show them what they did and ask them why they never even mentioned it, because she prob yelped. Its probably itching and burning is why shes trying to get to it to lick it. I would be so PO"ed. poor baby.
