I cannot get him to eat pumpkin!! Ok well for some reason Max has had the diarrhea since yesterday... not sure what could have caused it other than him eating (just a bit) of a different kind of dog food... which he has never had this problem with different dog foods... and I didnt swicth him he just accidently got a taste of another dogs food. But anyway I've been worried sick and thought id try pumpkin to see if it cleared it up before I decided to take him to the vet. WELL!!! I cannot get him to eat it... I tried putting it on my finger and pushing in his mouth but hes just not having it... hates the stuff... any suggestions or tips on how everyone else does it would be great? is there anything else I could give/do to help him? Thanks |
I was wondering if he would eat anything and whether he didn't want the pumpkin because he didn't want any food, or if he just didn't want the pumpkin. |
Yes hes been eating food... Just doesnt want the Pumpkin:( I even tried mixing it with some broiled chicken thinking that would help but nothing. ( i know broiled chicken and pumpkin sounds gross LOL) |
What about mixing the pumpkin with some yogurt or vanilla ice cream. Mine wont pass up ice cream no matter what flavor it is |

I'll try those ideas... I dont know what else to do. I guess we will be going to the vet as well if this doesnt clear up. hes had it 2 whole days now. I dont know how many times Ive had to bathe him. I am worried... I was hoping it would have went away by now. Thanks everyone for the advice! If anyone has anymore advice please tell:) Thanks |
I too have pretty much the same advise. But I just wanted to say I hope he gets better and we'll be praying for your baby. |

Yorkies have sensitive stomachs so yes any change in diet can trigger a sensitive stomach one as it has happened to mine as well :( just make sure drinking water so make sure fresh water about 3-4 times a day as mine only drink fresh water as they are picky lol so when i clean bowl put fresh water they run over to drink lol as diarrhea can dehydrate them faster than vomitting |
