| Help i need advice Hi I urgently need some advise. My Yorkie is 3 months old now. A few days ago she managed to get into the outside bin and swallowed what i think is/was a chicken bone. She couldn't breath and my partner stuch his finger down her through and pushed what ever it was into her stomach as he could not pull it out. Thank goodness she could breath and all was well i think. Now she doesn't want to eat her food (dry pellets and at night i soften it for her). She is more that willing to eat food like mash, pumpkin and things like that. Now i know not to feed Yorkies any human food because of their bad digestive systems but it is all that she want to eat. I am very worried about this and don't know if the bone has now caused this and or what i should do. So please if anyone has some advise or it has maybe happened to you, please reply. Thank you. Very worried mom

My experience with Tootsie is that she is a very picky eater!!! She looooves moist food and gobbles it up~but the dry kibbles, she will eat but only when she has no other choice...

| I also think you should take him to the vet ASAP! Hope it will be ok. Good luck |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Please take her to the vet! The bone could be causing a blockage - or it may have pierced through the intestines, and it could be very serious. The vet can find out by doing a simple x-ray. Has she pooped at all since this happened? I would be worried - and only a vet can ease your mind!

| I would strongly recommend that you have the vet check out your baby. I hope everything works out. Positive thoughts being sent your way! -pam & armani |

| Help i need advice Thanks guys i really appreciate all your help and suggestions. I did get Laxapet from the vet which is like a laxative for dogs and cats and the vet said just to keep a close eye on her, but i must say that i can't really see that the Laxapet has helped. She is "going" normally and a few times the poo was a bit darker than normal. I can't understand this as it doesn't look like she is ill though. She plays and runs outside and bites of coarse but only wants to eat a minimum amount of human food. (pumpkin, rice, mash and soft things like that). I think will take her to the vet anyway for a proper check up to see if there is something wrong. Thanks again. i will let you know what the vet said.
