| Help! 14 w/o addition to family but not eating. Hi all. Just want to brag a little. Last night I picked up my 14 week old, 2.4 lb, female yorkie. She's beautiful!! She is getting groomed on Monday and then I'll post some pictures of her. The breeder or someone cut her tail almost completely off! She has little nub that wags, but it's not much of one. What she lacks in tail, she makes up in personality and beauty! From the minute I held her in my arms to take her home, she bonded with me. She is definitely a lap dog and likes to be around me. She hasn't eaten very much at all today! She ate 2 treats at the vet's office, but that's it! How do I get her to eat! She hasn't shown any signs of hypoglycemia. Thanks. |

| Hi and Congratulations on getting her! I bet she is pretty. She probably is a little nervous right now and will need time to adjust before she picks up a good appetite. That's usually the norm when they arrive at their new homes. Give her a few days. She'll be eating fine by then. |

| To: Cerise You have a point. She doesn't seem nervous, but it has to be a big step for her. I would like to change her food. Someone else suggested NV (Nature's Valley?). I'll keep a close eye on her tonight. Thanks. |

| Congratulations on your new addition but remember this is just a baby. You need to let her adjust to you and her new surroundings and slowly change her food by mingling what the breeder fed her to what you want to change her to. What did the breeder feed her? I would not take her to the groomer yet ...if she smells you could give her a bath at home but the groomer can be scary and she needs to settle in first. This is the time she learns to trust you. Take your time and enjoy her.

| your baby sounds adorable and she has a little nubby...that is what we call Cooper's short tail at our house, his little nubby...anyway enjoy they grow so fast and just remember do NOT change her food to fast. Even if the breeder had her on not so good food, do it very slowly so her tummy can catch up with all the changes.

| She is on Eukanuba The breeder had her on Eukanuba puppy food. I think her little nub is cute, too! Wouldn't trade her. I think she is ultimately going to look similar to Cindy's baby. I can see a Platinum color all over, except for some of her face and her paws and ears. We'll see. She is like a box of chocolates......you never know what you're gonna get! She is pure eye candy! |

| Your joy is apparent - it is delightful reading your post. I remember the first time I held Armani, they have a way of totally capturing your heart. Congratulations, may you have many years of happiness together. |

| Captured my heart Yes, she sure captured my heart. I already don't know what I would do without her! I'm off to buy her a different kind of food today and a new toy. |
