| ![]() Hello! I know I’ve posted a lot but my little Tiger not eating his dry kibble and everyone’s suggestions were wonderful, I appreciate all the support and help. I went to my local holistic pet store and they gave a ton of samples and I also purchased different types of food. I’ve tried: 1. Innova 2. Canidae 3. California Naturals 4. Fromm 5. Lotus 6. Pure Vite 7. Accana 8. Solid Gold So I’ve basically tried everything the only thing my little guy semi liked was the California Naturals but I would mix it in with canned food and rice and I would crush the already little kibble. So finally I came across ziwipeak venison, its expensive stuff but for my little Tiger I will pay whatever it takes to make him happy and healthy. He loves it but it’s not kibble it’s more like a jerky here is the list of ingredients: INGREDIENTS: Venison - Meat (min. 65%), Liver, Tripe, Heart and Kidney (min. 19.5%), Chicory Syrup, Green-lipped and Blue Mussel (min. 4%), Fish Oil, Lecithin, Kelp, Vitamins and Minerals, Parsley, Naturally preserved with mixed tocopherols, additives: Vit. D3 592 IU/kg, Vit. E 7.4mg/kg, Copper (copper proteinate) 9.8mg/kg. Calories 1794 KJ/100g. GUARANTEED ANALYSIS: Protein (min.) 34% Ash (max.) 8% Fat (min.) 26% Fibre (max.) 1.6% Moisture (max.) 15% Calcium 2% Phosphorus P 1.1% What are your thoughts on this does anyone else use it? I also found that Tiger loves green peas in his food. I just can’t get him away from canned meat/wet food he loves it so I was going to start making him bland homemade pot roast and adding green peas and the ziwipeak. What do you guys think? is this ok for Tiger. He just will not eat dry dog kibble. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() I don't have any knowledge of what is good or not....I just post and hope someone tells me...lol, but oh I so feel your pain - Bridget has been the same way and I too got a ton of samples (good and not so good) which she turned up her nose at. The only one I found that she really likes is Holistic Select which has Sardine and Anchovie (figures she'd like that since all she'd eat before is the cat food, and of course no one around me carries it so I have to order on line) But she's eating and that's all that matters to me. Since she's been spayed she has become less picky though and I've been catching her nibbling on any of the samples I put down. I honestly think that if they would make kibble in the form and size of a biscuit (and tell us to feed 2 or 3 biscuits a day) it would take all the hassle out of it for me. Bridget would think she was getting a treat when actually she was eating something good for her. She'd eat anything if she thought it was a treat. Glad you found something he'd eat though - that is a feat all by itself.
