| Schedule... My babies are 5 months old...What kind of feeding schedule should I put them on? They are supposed to eat 1/2 cup 2 times a day...I am afraid that if I only feed them twice a day, I am starving them..Are they old enough just to eat 2 times a day? |

| Personally - I've just always kind of free fed. I leave dry food down all down and I mix in some wet w/ the dry for Jackson for dinner.

| Free feeding? I wish we could free feed, but with one Yorkie and one BullBoxer mix, they each want the other's food. So it's twice a day, keeping an eye on them eveery second. No, neither of them starved.

| I actually free feed my dogs while they are in their x-pens. I have a big dog too, and she would eat their food if she could. Trust me, free feeding for a dog this age is perfectly fine.

| I fed Sophie 3 times a day up until she was 7 months old. I would have stopped at 6 months, but I did the extra month because we also had my son's dachshund puppy that was a month younger. She's been on twice a day ever since. |

| I free feed Fancy. There is always food in her bowl, she never eats it all at one time so I know she only eats until she gets full.

| Is the bullboxer pretty big, compared to the yorkie? We had that situation for a short time with a cat that had to be fed on the floor. Our regular cats eat on their own separate counter so the boys don't eat their food (everybody free feeds), and this cat couldn't jump on the counter..anyway dh built a 'box' between the legs of a table, any table would do, with an entrance only big enough for the cat to get through, not the big dogs... cat could free feed fine, food was safe. Maybe something like this would work? Or just gate off an area that only your yorkie can squeeze through to in order to free feed, but the other can't fit through...that would be easier..just my dh is always looking for a reason to attempt to slice off his hands...and I am no jk
