| ![]() Lola has always had a slightly stinky face, but it has gotten worse recently. A few weeks ago, I noticed she had a red rash around her mouth and her face was very stinky and she was very itchy, so I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with a yeast infection. The vet gave her some Clavamox and Ketoconazole and she is still on the Ketoconazole. Her eyes were also very watery with red-colored eye boogies. I think the watering is better, and the itching is much better, but her face still smells horrible! I wash it frequently, have tried Apple Cider Vinegar, distilled water, and even changed dog foods. Nothing seems to work for her poor little face. I have heard about Angels Eyes and Angels Glow, do these products work? I have read some things that say these products aren't good for your dogs. I don't want to give her anything that will hurt her, but I want her stinky face to go away! Any other products you can recommend that will help her out? Someone please help us!!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Yeast can be tough to fight...but Keto is a good idea and it sounds like it was prescribed for a good while, and that's smart when it comes to yeast. Is she totally grain free, bc that can help a lot as yeast feeds on carbs..? Are you using probiotic to repopulate her intestines? How close did the vet examine the eyes and was an infection diagnosed or anything? Do you think this could also be seasonal/allergy? (check pollen.com) Sorry for all the ???...just things for you to consider. The other thing is what kalina82 went through w/ her baby---almost invisible hairs growing toward the eye bc of a rolled in lid - and this was only seen by a Vet Opth. If seasonal, anti-histamines would be an option...
