| A question about puppy teeth My Fergus is 6 1/2 months old, and still has all his puppy teeth! His adult teeth are growing in on top of them, but he doesn't seem to be losing any of his baby teeth as they come in. Has anyone had this happen? its a first for me, he has like two rows of top front teeth and now has a double set at his canines! The vet didn't want to pull them too eary (when he was neutered at 4 months) because she said they might come out, but that it hurt the placement of adult teeth if you pull too early. I am seriously upset about this! I thought it was just one or two teeth, but when I was brushing his teeth today I found a whole row! Am I over reacting or is this a serious breeding flaw?

| One of my yorkies teeth came out the same way. It looks very strange but not uncommon. Just give your dogs a lot of chews. |

| My 10 month old baby also has majority of his baby teeth still intact. They are not even loose. I got him when he was 6 months old so that was in April. But now, my vet feels that it will not come off on its own, I think only 2 came off, They are hard and I tried all kinds of chew things, tug and pull, they are all still there. Well, he is being neutered next week and the estimate charges just for his teeth is about $ 400.00. Unbelievable..... Do you think I should do it now or wait more? the vet does not think at this point it will come off. She also said because they are not loose, it has to be extracted and that baby teeth have deep long roots. I am so worried for him since he is very small and I think it is a total of about 12-13 teeth. |
