| Wet food mixed with dry food When can I start mixing his food... Munchie sneaky self went and got a taste of my older dog food who food has wet and dry food mix. Since then I have been having a problem to getting Munchie to eat just his dry food. I dont know if it because he tasted something better or just tired of the food. What to do. Should I just start mixing his food as well??? |

| I think it's fine. Even my vet mentioned he does that with his own dogs to make food more tasteful, but I personally stopped doing it because her teeth and facial hair were getting smelly

YT 2000 Club Member | my dogs get wet also, I give them a small amount everyday to supplement their dry diet. Sometimes I offer it twice a day if they had eaten much kibble.

| mine eats royal canine dry food. i put in warm water, to get it softer, then drain, then feed, as her mouth is soo tiny. she likes that. and in the mornings, she gets some wet food, only a little more then a teaspoon or so, for some added enrichment to her flavor pallett. we all like that ourselves, i'm sure they can get bored to, but if i mix both regularly, i know she'd only go for the wet, and that would not be good, she'd never eat kibble alone...BTDT, so it's just a treat once a day i give her a little chicken here or there, as a snack which she of course ADORES!!! i know some dogs can be quite picky. good luck w/ finding the right combo for success hugs, michelle
