The next time I go to my vet I will definatly question why they don't check the chip and I want my chip checked to make sure it works. Pebbles had 2 chips because the first one she had was defective and didn't register on the scanner. She is only 4 lbs and I can only feel 1 under the skin. She couldn't care less about it. Coco has a Home Again chip and it is 14.99 to register every year.
Good point. I know they put it in Tia during her spay but I can't feel it and Im going to get it checked that it works too.

Thanks again for all of your thoughts everyone made great points into why we should have our little furbabies chipped. I think it is a good thing as I couldn't bear to think what we would do if we lost her or she lost us. Hopefully, she would end up in the right hands and with her chip she would be returned home. At least I know we have helped making that possible instead of saying if only.

The advantages of microchipping far outweigh the disadvantages. Should anything ever happen, you will be so glad you chipped her.

I have micro-chipped all my yorkies and they do not have any problems. It is better than wearing a collar! My vet told me that dogs usually do not have any problems with it. Cats could, but no problem for dogs.

Well, Lexi was chipped today :) She doesn't seem to be having any trouble at all they did it when they put her under to pull what we thought were 4 extra canines...poor little thing had 7 teeth pulled. She is doing great tonight no problems at all even wants to eat a little something she is such a brave little girl and we are very proud of her...Hugs Cheryl & Lexi:aimeeyork

:aimeeyorkI feel better knowing we have done what ever we can to help keep her safe should she ever get lost. We would be devastated she sure is one special furbaby Hugs Cheryl & Lexi
