Two of mine that were due for vaccines I titered. They were ok for everything but Corona so I told her skip the corona it's not necessary. I asked her about rabies and she said it didn't matter it was the law I was still curious. Yeap no vaccines were technically needed! I wish all vets follow Dr. Dodd's protocol. |
Thanks for the information. Copied it to take to my vet. She's fairly open to my requests. ~Joanne` |
Great information and just what I needed! I am still struggling with the Lyme's vaccine! I do live in a high risk area....:( |

Dr. Schultz only does the one year booster for rabies, if you'll note, he says his dogs are vaccinated with MLV CDV, CPV-2, CPI, andCAV-2 vaccines once as puppies after the age of 12 weeks. The change in Dr. Dodd's protocol is her inclusion of the long-term minimum duration of immunity data for the distemper and parvo vaccines -- this part: Distemper Re-Administration Interval None needed. Duration of immunity 7.5 / 15 years by studies. Probably lifetime. Parvovirus Re-Administration Interval None needed. Duration of immunity 7.5 years. Probably lifetime. |

Regarding the Lyme vaccine -- here\'s the link http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...inate-not.html to a thread I posted about it a while ago; perhaps the information contained in it will help you. |
