| Wellness dry food: Good or Bad experience?! We are looking to swtich to the Wellness Core for adults. I wondered if people had any BAD or really GOOD experiences with it. Apparently Charley was on RC (Royal Canin) for over 1 year before I got her. The previous owner stated she had stool issues. I have no idea what is a good or bed stool!? LOL.... What have you experienced with Wellness? Michelle |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I had to switch from wellness because it caused Reggie to have diarrehea and I'd eliminated all the other possibilities.

| My 2 have been on Wellness Small Breed since March and they love it! We've had no problems with it. To get them used to it I just mixed a little in with their Iams Small Toy and then after a week of doing that, I just stopped that all together.

My furkids Donating Member | I just switched from canidae (canned) to wellness (canned), just as a topper...I use Merrick grammies pot pie kibbles...I haven't had any problems. My daughter switched her goldens to Wellness because they had itching problems...they haven't scratched once since the change. AND....wellness is manufactured a few towns away from me.

| I tried Wellness Super 5 Mix (kibbles too big) as well as their Small Breed Formula & Snickers would not touch either one. I was bummed, but we found something that works and he loves. (Innova Evo & now Orijen-higher protein kibbles.) I like Wellness as a company...

| I use both wellness core for my choc lab who has had allergies for 4 years. Her eyes would swell up so bad she could not see and she would lick her paws until they were raw especially in the spring. Well it's been a year now and her eyes have not swelled or she has not licked her paws once this spring season. My yorkie is still a puppy and is on the wellness puppy and she is doing really good.

| Tatum eats Wellness Core and loves it. I had to switch her from Innova because a formula change they had gave her diarrhea. She gained about a half a pound after she started the Wellness but she really loves it.

| Zoey is on Wellness Small Breed. In the AM she gets it dry, at night I use Wellness 95% Chicken as a topper. At 4-1/2 lbs she eats so little that I've frozen measuring teaspoon size chunks of the canned and stored them in a freezer bag. I just nuke one at dinner time, then add the kibs and mix together. They last forever, and no waste. I don't have the heart to just feed kibble all the time...

| Jackson is on Wellness Super5Mix right now and although he loves it and eats it voluntarily.. lately he's had horrible eye gunk since he started the food. He also had diarrhea once and seems to be pooping more. He does love the taste of it though and it hasn't been an awful experience with it or anything, but I'd rather have less pooping from him! lol. So, I'm actually going to the store today to buy new food. I like the Wellness company and he loves their treats so I have nothing against them. I think some food just works better for some dogs and I'm still on a search to find that. I'm actually wondering if it's the grains in the food, even though they're good grains, so I considered switching to Wellness Core since he seems to like Wellness so much but I'm still deciding... too much protein? Eh, who knows!

| Pepper was on Wellness puppy till he turned a year old and then I switched him to Wellness Small Breed. Have never had any problems. When I first got him I put him on Blue Buffalo, but he would not eat the life source bits in it. So, I switched him to Wellness.

What a GREAT idea!! I only feed my girls once a day also...so a can lasts for quite a while...although I do keep it in the fridge I always worry it will go bad before they finish the can...I am going to do this too! Thanks!

I do this kind of thing all the time. I make my parrot, Bogie, a mash of blended veggies and fruit...otherwise all he'll eat is his pellets. So...I freeze crushed pineapple in an ice cube tray...then bag. I got tired of throwing out bad pineapple, you know? I also do this with tomato paste, fresh basil leaves (for human cooking, lol), and all kinds of things. It's really wonderful for fresh herbs. I save a lot of money buying large quantities this way, too. Depending on the items, you can use either a cookie sheet or an old ice cube tray...

| We like wellness! Hi! We are big wellness fans in this house. Both my girls were on Wellness puppies when they were young (my breeder recomended it). Eventually I switched Gypsy to the Wellness Small breed and Prissy to the Low fat Core. about two weeks ago I switched to a Canadian Company called Arkana NOT bc we were unhappy about wellness, but because we really like the idea having a food made in Canada. My in laws still have there yorkie on the Low Fat Core from wellness. And I always keep a few cans of the Wellness soft food on hand. I also have the Wellness puppy treats. I cut them in to 4 pieces and use them for training (ya, I was one of those kids who's mom watered down their juice. . .). Kate (and Gypsy and Prissy) |
