| Is food causing yellow vomit? I have two yorkies that we feed the Royal Canin yorkie breed food. They often hack up a yellow foamy vomit (not a daily problem but close). Our vet has said that they probably have acid reflux and to try giving them a bit of pecid ac to reduce acid. Has anyone ever tried this? Or had a similar problem? We have considered switching foods but often hear that RC is the best so are reluctant to switch. Any suggestions for other foods or does it not sound like a food related problem? Thanks |

| I had to stop feeding RC years ago, same problem, yellow bile also very soft poo problems. The YT formula is way too high protein for Yorkies. I feed Natural Balance, the Ultra formula, 24% protein. They also have Limited ingredients formulas, Duck and Potato, Venison and Potato. I mix those three together and they have been doing really well on them. They don't like the Lamb and Rice one. I would suggest getting them off RC. Usually a chronic throwing up bile is from the food. |

| Thanks Thanks Lorraine. I think I will go with your suggestion. My picky girl does not even really like the RC so I am sure it will be a good change and the boy will eat anything Since they both like to vomit only on carpet or rugs it will be nice if this puts a stop to it! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | is there a certain time of the day that they vomit the bile? If its first thing in the morning before they eat then i agree with the acid reflux diagnosis. Pepcid AC does help.

| I have to admit that I am not sure if it is usually in the morning. We have caught it a few times in the evenings but normally we just find yellow foamy spots when cleaning. How much pecid do you give them? One is 8 lbs and the other is 11. Thanks |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | if its at random times during the day then it might be the food. you can try changing it and see what happens.

Lulu tends to do it with other treats too. She loves it when it's new, but then she gets used to it and doesn't care for it as much
