| How to lose weight The vet told me early summer that Penny could stand to lose a 1/2 pound to a pound. He said he's not too concerned about her yet, but it was a suggestion. Especially since they tend to put on weight in the winter. So we started portioning her food to make sure she isn't over-eating, feeding her 1/3 cup twice a day. We have at least one good play session with her a day. Weighed her yesterday when she went in for her bordatella vaccination, and she's gained a 1/2 pound! (up to 7.8) Now that it's cooling off, I plan to walk her every evening. Is there anything else we can do? She eats Chicken Soup dry food. Very very rarely any people food, but when she does get it we feed her boiled chicken in small amounts. She doesn't eat too many treats. Is 1/3 cup twice a day too much? And I thought losing weight as a human was hard. |
