| ![]() I just saw the thread about Nutro pet foods. My puppy was eating Nutro when I got him and I bought a bag and continued to feed it to him. Now I am worried that I will make him sick. Can anyone suggest a safe, easy to purchase puppy food? Also is it ok to put a little boiled hamburger in with his kibble? Thank you in advance for your help. Angus' mommy, Jeanne D. |

If so, it's okay - but I wouldn't give it if fatty. Also, you don't want the meat to be more than 10% of the overall diet or you're throwing the cal/phos and other ratios off for him. ![]()

| ![]() Hello!!! Welcome to YT!! Wellness Puppy, Wellness Core, Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken (Puppy), and also Natural Balance All Life Stages are all available at Petco (not Petsmart). I think Ann (above) said it is at Petsmart, but the only food I would feed from PetSmart is Blue Buffalo, I do think they have a puppy formula. If you are willing to go to a feed store, I would recommend Innova Puppy. You can see if a store near you carries it by going to their website and calling the store in your area: www.naturapet.com Good luck ![]()

| ![]() Thank you all for your quick response. I went to Petco and purchased the Wellness brand puppy kibble and some of their canned food. I don't really like giving my dogs canned food, which is why I add a few crumbles of boiled hamburger to their dry food. But Angus was not eating the dry food on a regular basis, unless my friend's 15 week old silky terrier was visiting. Something about the company of the other puppy seems to increase his appetite. I am slowly changing over to Wellness but his stools are a little loose this morning (this is probably the only forum I know where loose stools are a topic of conversation...gotta love it here ![]() Thank you again. I already feel right at home here on YT Angus' Mommy Jeanne D ps. Happy furry Mothers Day to all on YT |
