I wish I knew what we use but it is whatever the company decides to spray.

i have people come and mow my lawn every week. Can they treat the lawn or do i have to get a "bug" company to come and do it?

We have a bug company.
Some won't guarantee against fleas though because I guess they are unique or something. We get sprayed for spiders and just haven't had a flea problem since then as a bonus (except when another dog brought them to us). Depending on what pesticides the company uses, you may or may not get the benefit of flea control but it is probably worth a try. Oh and I try to keep Ellie out of the leaves becaues fleas are so bad in the all.

Kellie...You use Frontline with Sentinel?? I am only using Sentinel right now. Snickers came home from the sitter with some interesting specs in his groin area and we were pretty sure they were flea bites. I checked him in and out and no fleas. I hope the Sentinel is enough!! I don't like the topical ones!

yeah i asked my vet about it because i didn't think you could.

she said that the sentinel only kills the eggs and larvae. It has no effect on the adult flea. So she said to get Frontline Top Spot (not plus) and use that in conjunction with it to kill fleas and ticks. The reason you want Top Spot and not Plus is because the "plus" part of the frontline is what is in sentinel killing the eggs and larvae. i could look up the names of the ingredients exactly but i'm lazy LOL So by using Sentinle and Top Spot your dog is protected against everything. I use just half a tube of the frontline a month. At 4 pounds, morgan doesn't need the whole thing.

I concur and Fronline is fipronil. The Plus adds Methoprene and the Program part of Sentinel is lufenuron.
