| I stopped giving Lady all chicken jerky after the FDA warning. Dogswell Vitality treats are made in China. Preliminary Animal Health Notification - Chicken Jerky Products for Dogs This is from the Dogswell company: The DOGSWELLŽ manufacturing facilities meet the highest and most strict sanitary conditions. All of our plants have HACCP programs, have received high scores by independent Third Party auditors, have strict raw ingredient standards and continuously check our products during processing and when they are finished to ensure they meet our high quality standards. Our wet food for dogs, our dry food for dogs and our biscuits are manufactured in the U.S. and our treats are manufactured in China. We regularly visit our manufacturing facilities to ensure the quality and safety of our products. We are always looking to bring the manufacturing over to the United States, we have just not found a supplier who will add all of the vitamins and nutrients that we want at a price the consumer is willing to pay, once we find one, we will definitely bring it back over to the US. |

| Prince loved the chicken strips, but, because they are made in China, I thew them out. Some of dogswell products are made in the US, but the treats are not. You (and I) could have return them for a full refund. I make my own now with Perdue chicken breast and Price loves that and it's safe.

This is different than the Menu food recall that named certain brands. Maybe that's why you are confused? | |

The only thing used is chicken...no oil or seasonings. 1. Set oven at 190 degrees. Cooking takes about 3 hours to allow for dehydration. (Time may vary depending on the oven) 2. After rinseing, slice, then cut chicken into thin strips. 3, Place chicken strips on a rack, metal cookie sheet, or a pizza stone, and bake. If you use a cookie sheet or pizza stone, you will need to turn the strips mid-way thru the cooking cycle. If you place them on a rack, they will not need to be turned. 4. You will need a spatula to turn them, otherwise they may break. 5. Do not use foil underneath the strips. It tends to stick. 6. Let cool on a rack. When completely cooled, place in the fridge in a glass or plactic container. 7. These strips freeze well. I only keep out enough for the week, and freeze the rest. I usually cook 3 chicken breast at a time. Although the cooking time is long, it is worth it. The thinner the slice, the better. They look sort of like bacon when ready.

| I stopped buying them after the FDA warning. There haven't been any problems with the Dogswell brand that I know of, but I don't trust anything from China now. It's better to be safe than sorry in this case IMO. |
