In the process of slowly switching from Eukanuba to Wellness Puppy....hoping it goes well. Sully didn't like Royal Canin at all. There's a website called Dog Food Analysis out there and it rates the different foods. Good Luck! |

My husband and i are going to try out the wellness when we get her! Thank you everyone for your advice and guidance! my husband and i really appreciate it! I will post pictures of our little girl when we can get some pictures of her!:p |
My little guy has been very finnicky ever since I got him. Part of this was due to his rough start in life (abandoned at a shelter followed by some health issues) and part has just been his personality. The only food we have EVER had success with has been Nature's Variety raw medallions. I don't know if you can feed this to puppies, but for Vinnie it has been a life saver. I supplement this food with dog-friendly people food, such as cooked beef or bison and steamed veggies. This has seemed to work really well for both our dogs (one of which is not a yorkie). |
I had my Yorkie, Buttons, on Eukanuba for the first month I had him and he did not like it at all..aahhaha. Not only that but he was constantly scratching and had really dry skin that started to flake. I have tried many different foods to find the right fit for Buttons including Nutro, Science Diet, NV and basically, it has come down to Wellness and Nutro. Both are holistic and very healthy for their coats, skin, less eat infections, and i've noticed a much healthier looking/smelling stool too hehhe. Hope that helps! |

I've been feeding Jackson Merrick's Before Grain dry food for 4 weeks now and he loves it. It's a 5 star rated food, but I like the ingredients in it and he does well on the higher protein (32%) and more protein. They have three flavors: Buffalo, Chicken and Salmon. |
I have fed Eukanuba for years from the time they are old enough to eat and have had no problems but very healthy babies, but i am sure there are many good foods out there to choose from Betty & Micah my love:aimeeyork |
my pup is now on iams |

mlm512...please do not take the the wrong way but I feel you should be informed that Iams has had multiple claims filed against them for animal cruelty and testing on dogs. This may have been awhile back, but just wanted you to know. You have every right as a doggie owner to feed your pup what you wish, but just trying to get the word out there. Smiles!! |
Iams, is actually one of the foods the vet suggested. I just got out of college, and am looking for a job, so I can't afford a high grade food, so the vet said Iams is a healthy diet and inexpensive |
I completely understand!! Wanna let you know that many higher quality foods are the same price as Iams and other grocery store brands. Just only trying to help out as we all love our animals so much! But as long as you and your pup are happy, thats all that matters. I hope I did not offend you in any way!!:) |
no you didn't offend me, is there any food you would suggest? My puppy chloe is 4 months old and is a bichon/yorkshire mix |
