Puke! Lots Of Puke! Help Me! My poor darlin just started throwing up everywhere. So far he's thrown up over 5 or 6 times and we're for sure there can't be anything left in his belly. It (the puke.. sorry to be so graphic) was brown at first like his food but now it's basically yellow and watery. I'm really upset bc I've never seen him sit still before and now he won't even walk up to you. It's really scary. He's dry heaving and everything. And he's already pooped too.(which was solid) We didn't find anything in either that seemed foreign and now he won't stop shaking and looking scared. I need help ASAP. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow but do you guys think I should take him tonight!?

I know it is said that you should let their GI tract rest when they are sick, but I just cannot do it. I try mine on an ice cube if they like ice and mine do. Also, pepto bismal for the tummy and/or Famotidine about 2 mgm. It can be bought over the counter as tablets. Cut a tab in 6 pieces and dissolve in a wee bit of warm water and force feed with a syringe. THE MAIN THING IS DO NOT LOSE YOUR COOL!!! You can freak your dog right into seizures if you are really upset. I m a believer in using nutri-stat BUT, I am not teling you to do it. n inexperienced eye could mistake it for blood OR mistake blood for the nutristat and that could be danger!! I advise you to get your vet 's okay for any treatment. Your baby is probably okay but these babies can go bad in a minute. If you see red streaks in anything, beat feet to the emergency vet..

I would take him right away, he could get really dehydrated and you don't want that.

| I hope everything turns out okay when you take him to the vet. I know it is scary when they are sick.

Harleys all better! Woo hoo! Well it took a couple hours in total for him to kick it back into 5th gear again but he's A ok now.. Thanks goodness. After he had thrown up so much I knew he had to be dehydrated and he had the shakes really badly so I rubbed a little bit of honey on his lips and within a minute he perked back up a little and stopped shaking completely. I was quite relieved. After that we waited about a half an hour and he was being so squirmy and jumpy that he wanted off my lap so I put him down and offered him about 20 pieces of his food which he ate happily. He also drank a little water and he kept everything down! He came upstairs w/ me and I watched him for another hour while I worked on homework just to make sure he wasn't going to throw anything else up but all he did was lift his head once, burped and fell back asleep! So I put him in his crate for the night and I think we both slept pretty soundly! I'm so glad my fur baby is alright! Thank you to everbody who answered my thread!
