| How long do you let food sit out? How often should I switch out Princess' dry dog food? Wet food? Does it spoil? Just wondering. I searched on here and could not find anything |

| I only put enough in the dry food bowl to last for 1 day, the rest is in a Tupperware container to keep it fresh. As for the canned food...it's refrigerated once it's opened and I only give about a tablespoon twice a day and it doesn't last long on the plate! |

| That's a good question! Sophie hardly eats anything, and it seems like her food sits there for a day or more before I refill. |

| I change her dry food every morning whether she eat it or not. I give her about 2 tablespoons of Little Cesar (moist food) every evening. I set it down at approximately 5:30 to 6 pm, if she hasn't eaten it by 8 pm. I throw it out. I am so afraid of bacteria getting into the moist food. I change her water 2 to 3 times a day. |

| Dry food can sit all day, Wet food is another story, You should only put down enough for them to finish it within a 1/2 hour or so.. My girls eat the wet food so fast it would make your head turm!!LOL

| Gidget just eats dry food but I just keep about a handfull in at all times.....when we first got her I filled the bowl and then realized that it starts to mold (it was only in a day or so to ) and I didn't want her eating any of that so I just keep it at a handfull that way I know she will finish it within the day and it want get funky. |

| I don't give Coco wet food but her dry food I change out every evening. Because for her dinner I mix some salmon oil with her food. So once we're ready to go to bed, I wash her dish (so no bacteria collects) and poor new dry kibble in there.

| I don't leave food out at all. I feed my gang three times a day, small portions and immediately pick the bowls up. I only leave water out. It is much easier to house train a dog if they are on a regular feeding schedule. I would never consider leaving wet food down for more than 30 minutes. But around here food doesn't last five minutes. |

| I am not much help on this post. At my house we go through 16 pounds of dog food a week for the yorkies.(My Biewers tend to eat the most !!) I leave food down all day long and no one is overweight. I only feed can as a treat, for birthday parties, holidays or rewards.

| I leave the dry food out all the time. I just put new food in when it gets low. I leave the plate for the wet food out about a half hour then I pick them up.
